American Jewelry from New Mexico View Kristin's iconic work as part of an exhibition that examines adornment in New Mexico dating back to 450 CE. CLASSESClasses Ebola Pendant with Handmade Chain 1.8" x 1.3" x .1" (pendant) acetylene torch silver solder fabrication, annealing, shaping, hammering and forging, chainmaking (all links soldered closed), sawing, filing, handmade findings, polished with tumbler, hand finished with sandpaper, steel wool, and polishing cloth "This was a part of a series created during a period when I was fascinated with shapes. After hammering a bunch of copper coils, the shapes that emerged reminded me of electron micrographs of the Ebola virus, so I called the entire series the “Ebola series.” This was the simplest ebola piece, but completion of the soldered chain was rather time-consuming."
