STUDENT WORK
SUSAN |
"My favorite thing about making jewelry is researching techniques and experimenting in the studio. I do research about techniques and supply sources on the internet. I hoard books about jewelry. I go to gem and mineral shows to learn about different gems and to buy unique specimens. I read blogs online and have attended workshops to get inspiration for my designs. I can't get enough information about jewelry. I love coming to Kristin's open studios to experiment and try new techniques, especially with enamels. She is so encouraging, as are the other students who attend open studios. It is a great atmosphere where we are free to work on whatever projects we choose. I enjoy the act of creating as much as, if not more than, the finished product. Working with Kristin in her studio, makes creating even more fun." |
