PRIVATE CLASSES AND INTERNSHIPS
An internship is a pre-professional work experience that provides students, recent graduates, or those seeking to change careers with the opportunity to gain experience in the metalsmithing field. For students, internships also supplement academic classes and, in some cases, earn college credit. For AK, an undergraduate student pursuing degrees in art and entrepreneurship, it was a combination of both done through intensive work and study during 2 weeks in May. The internship thru Diener Studio in conjunction with the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), resulted in some stunning work.
UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA (TUSCALOOSA) STUDENT INTERNSHIP
Check out some of the jewelry/metalwork AK made during her time at the Diener Studio in the Private Classes and Internships section of Kristin's website - click here.

Private classes are available for those who require flexibility in scheduling, a focus on a specialized skill, or are simply interested in learning one-on-one. This is what Jamie from Lafayette, Louisiana did. After taking a beginning class she returned for 2 private classes to focus on the skills and topics she wanted to explore further: unusually-shaped stone setting, stone setting with and without soldering, how to design and have a customized logo stamp made, and guidance for setting up an effective, affordable and safe jewelry/metals workspace among others.
