"The Fluorspar Pendant represents the impetus for my jewelry making hobby.  My friend found this stone and I kept it on my dresser for more than two years thinking one day I would make something from it.  I finally decided to take Kristin’s class and after struggling through the beginning class, made this pendant in my first continuing class.  I love the pendant, not just because it was one of my first pieces, but because through it I discovered my long hidden creative/artistic side and my love of jewelry making.  If it were not for this stone, I do not think it would have ever occurred to me to take a jewelry class."
